Caramel Sauce

Caramel Sauce

For all ingredients, please consider using organic.

   
2 ounces unsalted butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
   

In a small saucepan set over medium-low heat, combine the butter and sugar.  Stir together until it begins to bubble and the sugar has completely dissolved into the butter and begins to caramelize.  Add the cream.  Whisk together to incorporate completely.

Serve with pineapple upside down cake or your favorite ice cream.
